HOW DOES SOCİAL MEDİA AFFECT OUR LİFE

Today social media is becoming so effective that it gives chance to people’s communication, also it provides effective ways for   bureaucrats   while they are making propaganda. He believes that people do not restrict themselves with the people who have common culture while they make friends on social media. Yeşim   Erez  says this. I agree with her because social media presents various activities today. Firstly, social media has become important information source for people. For instance, we obtain information about the news and magazine while we are surfing on Internet. Even if we do not watch news on TV, we know about daily events thanks to social media. Secondly, people do not want to limit their communication with common culture. Most of the people have alien friends who have common thoughts,  hobies   etc. on social media.  To illustrate, people are funs of many music groups. These people, who are fans of the same group, find each other by becoming member of these groups and then they make friends who have different culture, country thanks to social media. While Yeşim  Erez has a point on positive effects of social media, I disagree with his thought of using social media for political campaigns. She believes that if parties use social media effectively, it will be very useful for their purposes. Because social media is not reliable, her claim is impossible in my opinion. To begin with, there are many people who have bad aims like highway robbery. In this condition, people can not trust social media. For example, a person who may seem as if he/she has common political idea with you and when he/she finds a chance to reach her/his aim, she/he can make it easily. Moreover, many people do not behave seriously about politics. Political subjects is used to make fun. For instance, we can see the pictures of party leaders and they discuss about subjects with which people make fun. On the whole, in terms of communication, social media is true but using it for political activities may not reach their aim.
